| I apologize for the long delay in getting the results of the first round up. Judging took longer than expected, and life kept getting in the way. I must say that I was impressed by the turnout. A whopping 41 entries into the contest! I was also very dismayed to see that I had to disqualify 21 of those coasters for hitting supports/track/ground. Many of you forgot that you were using trains that hang below the track, and that these 4 across inverted trains are wider than the track itself. Since so many coasters would have had a 0 for the round I decided to make a one time exception: every coaster that was disqualified still earned points towards the over all tournament. However all of these coasters suffer a 15 point penalty. For example if you had earned a 75 in the contest but your coaster was disqualified, your score for round one is 60. Next time however I will not give any points if your coaster is disqualified. Be sure you check each and every support for proper clearance! Good luck to everyone in Round 2! Onto Round 1 Results! |
